Year 1 Spring 2023

Year 1 have been learning about the skeleton. They made their own skeletons out of sticks and natural materials.

Reception

Reception experimented with different materials to make bubbles. They made their own bubble wands using sticks and string.

Year 3 forest School

Year 3 explored a range of activities. They used two sticks to carefully weave patterns using different woo and string. It was great that we had parents who were experts at teaching the children.

Nursery

Children explored the nature garden. They also made bird feeders using orange skins and bird seed.

Year 4

Year 4 have been learning about the features of rivers. They worked in groups to create a river including all the features they had learnt about. Then they collected water and tested how it flowed.

Year 1

Year 1 have been learning about seasons. This session children looked closely at the plants, drew them and compared to autumn and winter. They were able to talk about the changes they observed.

Year 5 Forest school Residential

Year 5 had a very successful trip to Lambourne End in Essex. They spent two nights in a tent, cooked and cleared up their own meals as well as taking part in lots of team building activities. Swimming was enjoyed by all.

The evening ended with singing around the campfire, toasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate.

Year 4 Autumn 2021

Year 4 were learning about different types of animals and their habitats. They were able to make different types habitats , thinking about why they they were appropriate for the animal their animal.

Year 2 Autumn 2021

Year 2 have been learning about different animals and their habitats. They were able to explore the natural environment and make their own habitats for different animals.

Reception Autumn 2021

Children worked on their fine motor skills when making a noughts and crosses game with sticks.

They also spent time exploring the autumnal environment and collected different coloured leaves to make patterns.
