This term our focus topic is The Great Fire of London. For WOW Day we created a silhouette for how London looked during the fire. We then imagined we were in the fire by passing around bowls of water to stop the fire from growing.
To celebrate National Poetry Day, we wrote a poem based in ‘100 is a lot’ by Mish Goldish.
Katsushika Hokusai is a well-known Japanese painter and printmaker. He produced about 35,000 drawings and prints throughout his 70 years of artistic creation.

Forest School takes place in a woodland or natural environment to support the development of a lifelong relationship between learner and the natural environment.
We walked to our local forest and participated in activities such as: litter picking, bug collecting, mud making, shelter building and tree climbing!
For WOW Day, the children were introduced to Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. We learnt about Nightingale and Seacole childhood, their work life, and how they improved the hospitals they were based in.
Their topic question for this term is “who is more influential Mary Seacole or Florence Nightingale?”
To celebrate who they were, we created colourful silhouettes of Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale.
