We had another great drama session where we acted out the Last Supper. We talked about what Jesus shared with his disciples and what his teachings were for all believers.
As a class, we read the story; Grace and Family. Grace visited a marketplace in Africa. We also had a chance to visit our very own market in Willow class, to help us with some descriptive writing. We made up our own stalls and created shopping lists.
In PSHE, we learned about where different fruits and vegetables come from and how they grow. We made our own vegetable/fruit patch by printing different fruits and vegetables.
In Science, we took on the role of an estate agent who sells UK habitats to animals. We presented information to groups of animals where we described conditions for a woodland, pond, coastal or urban habitat. We ended with a Q&A session with our estate agents.
At Forest school, we went on a minibeast hunt. We collected some information about the different types of minibeasts found in a woodland habitat. We used our findings in the following lesson to create a pictogram.
In Literacy, we conducted interviews to see if we had suitable qualities to be hired as an astronaut to carry out jobs on the Moon. We came up with great questions and displayed great speaking and listening skills!
In RE, we talked how we know what is right and what is wrong. We had examples of different scenarios and wrote down what we thought the consequence for that action should be. We had to do a lot of thinking!
We burned our Tudor Houses to see how quickly the fire spread between the terraced houses that were very close together. We were able to see how flammable the materials we used were and saw that gaps in the houses did help slow the fire down. It was a very exciting experience!
