Celebrating who we are
Cherry class had fun on our Ancient Egypt wow day! We made Ancient Egypt style headdresses and necklaces, learned to write our names in hieroglyphics and paid a visit to an animal worshipped by Ancient Egyptians... our school cat, Thierry! Cherry Class were also visited by Cleopatra, they asked her questions about her life as a pharaoh and learnt some very interesting facts!
Cherry class have been learning about the Legend of the lost city of Atlantis. After reading the story ‘Dougal’s Deep Sea Diary’, we designed, built, and evaluated our own model submarines.
In year 3 we have been learning about Ancient Egypt. We had a visitor come into school to teach us all about life in Ancient Egypt. Cherry Class were also visited by Cleopatra, they asked her questions about her life as a pharaoh and learnt some very interesting facts!
Cherry Class made clay pinch pots to understand how our Stone Age ancestors lived. We learned that everything in the Stone Age had to be created or collected by individuals. Life was tough!
The children wore their brightest outfits to show their understanding of road safety. The children also designed their own posters offering advice to others about how to remain safe and be seen.
