This week across the school children have been studying the history of our local area - Hackney. Year 6 have been thinking about refugees in Hackney and how and why people move homes and what it would be like to adapt to a new area. We have been thinking about the contribution refugees and migrants have made to our local community.

We have also studied a local author and poet called Eveline Marius. We are writing our own poems about Hackney and are also using our work about refugees to inspire some artwork.
